Simply put... “You are worth the quiet moment. Y Simply put... “You are worth the quiet moment. You are worth the deeper breaths and you are worth the time it takes to slow down, be still, and rest.” – Morgan Harper Nichols
On December 16th 2017, I attended my first Pop up On December 16th 2017, I attended my first Pop up shop at the G'da National Museum. At that time it was called Pop up Thrift Shop and my only product was Candles. I remember being so nervous because I recently started my business and back then, you couldn't get a full sentence out of me even if you tried! To make matters worse, I was placed on a table all by myself!. But let me tell you about Alethea Jones and her team. They probably sniffed out my nervousness because they made me feel right at home, always checking in to ensure I was comfortable, introduced me to all the other vendors and guided Customers over to my table. Bottom line, they took care of their vendors! By the end of the day, I made more new friends than expected and connected with some customers who are still with me today (thank you for your loyalty). If you have been with me since the beginning of time, drop a comment below! Retail Circle Pop up shop, despite the rebrand has continued in their quest to offer exposure to local entrepreneurs by providing us a platform to display and sell our products and continue to step up their game while building their brand on integrity and passion. I pride myself in being part of their pop up shop and will continue to support them for years to come. If you have never heard about @retailcirclegrenada I urge you to head on over to their page and like and support their initiative. Today, looking back, I have never missed a pop up shop because I understand the vision. I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to participate in this amazing event where everyone is like one big family. I get excited when there are new vendors and act like a kid with candy whenever I meet new customers. It's an unexplainable feeling when you see customers walk through the entrance and come directly to your table and say "I came to stock up'! Thank you for your continued love and support because I couldn't do it without you. Over the next two days, the Retail Circle team will be at Excel Plaza along with the ladies at Retail circle and a crew of creative vendors for yet another Pop up shop. Come down and support all things local and of course stop by my table & say

When it comes to skin care, most people focus on t When it comes to skin care, most people focus on their faces, often forgetting about their neck. But what is important to note is that neck skin is similar to face skin, in that it has oil glands that produce sebum (making it prone to the occasional pimple), but it is thinner and potentially more sensitive. So should you exfoliate your neck? Yes you should. Because it can be so easy to neglect this area by not performing a skin-care regimen on it regularly. Dead surface skin cells, as well as makeup, sweat, dirt and oil can build up. Not only is this unhygienic, but it can also lead to the appearance of ‘dark neck’ and adding that exfoliating step can help, especially with sloughing away this accumulated buildup. There’s technically no “wrong” way to use yo There’s technically no “wrong” way to use your Body Oils and the frequency is totally up to you. However, there are certain ways to maximize the effects of your body oil! 1. After a shower, instead of drying off the skin completely, simply pat your skin to take off the heavy droplets which will leave the skin damp then apply your body oil. 2.Add a few drops of oil to your body cream. Not only does the oil provide a more luxurious feel, it provides more protection for dry skin that needs it. 3.Massage your body. While facial massages are important, you should pamper and provide your body with relaxation, too. Focus on areas where you hold the most tension, like shoulders and calves. Our body oils will be available in our Christmas Spa box. Place your orders today. ⠀

There are two types of exfoliation used in skincar There are two types of exfoliation used in skincare: chemical and mechanical. Our Body scrubs are a mechanical exfoliant, meaning they physically remove dead skin cells from the outer layer of your skin, naturally. This stimulates skin cell turnover, resulting in smoother, brighter skin and possibly preventing future acne breakouts. Using a body scrub is relatively straightforward and safe, as long as you follow these few simple steps. You should exfoliate 1 - 2 times a week depending on your skin type. Avoid over-exfoliating as this can strip your skin of moisture and compromise the skin barrier. Always avoid using Scrubs if you have sunburned, damaged or irritated skin. If you have a skin condition, talk with a dermatologist for advice. Our Body Scrubs are available at @pricelessbeautysupplies @evokegrenada ⠀

When we say that we should carry our heart along w When we say that we should carry our heart along with ourselves wherever we go, it simply means that you should do everything wholeheartedly. When you go with all your heart, you become more positive and spread positivity around you as well. You should be the kind of person people should look to and can rely on. For that reason, you should always be kind and compassionate to the ones around you. Give them the spirit to improve themselves each day. In today's world, it is hard to find genuine people who really look out for one another so wherever you go, go with all your heart. ⠀

The truth is….no one else can make you happy but The truth is….no one else can make you happy but you. The hard cold fact is you have to know what you want in order to make yourself happy. Self care isn't always about getting pampered, but sometimes it's simply just finding out what makes you happy and doing it. It's about being selfish sometimes and just zeroing in on you, about getting out of the house for a minute and doing something different, about changing your perspective and always seeing the glass half full, and having a tribe who will support you no matter what and not keep trying to live up to people's expectations of you. What are you going to do today to make yourself happy?⠀

Do you know your skin type? One of the most import Do you know your skin type? One of the most important steps in caring for your skin is to know your skin type. 1. Normal Skin is balanced skin i.e. not too oily not too dry. Normal skin types require less maintenance than the other skin types. 2. Dry Skin: People with dry skin usually have almost invisible pores, dull complexion, less elasticity, and more visible lines. It is important for people with this skin type to find a moisturizer that helps the skin replenish its vibrancy. The more oil found in a moisturizer, the better it can absorb throughout the epidermis barrier to hydrate the skin. 3. Oily skin: Those with oily skin tend to notice a great deal of shine on their face, enlarged pores and may deal with terrible acne breakout. It’s important to lightly exfoliate oily skin, as the buildup of oil can cause dead skin cells to become trapped in the pores and lead to acne blemishes. 4. Combination Skin: features two or more different skin types on the face, and typically presents itself with dry skin on portions of the face, and with excessive oil on other portion. This is the most common skin type and is characterized by an oily T-zone (forehead, chin and nose), enlarged pores in selected areas. Exfoliating is essential for those with combination skin. Dead skin cells on the dry part of the face will be sloughed off, while clogged pores will be unblocked and cleared. 5. Sensitive Skin: Sensitive skin types may exhibit the characteristics of dry skin, oily skin, or combination skin, but they also deal with a great amount of irritation. Those with sensitive skin types should avoid harsh chemical-based skin care treatments. Sensitive skin is easily inflamed, so it’s important to choose the right natural skin care for sensitive skin to avoid any adverse reactions. If your skin is sensitive, try to find out what your triggers are so you can avoid them. Know your skin type. Understanding your skin type allows you to buy the correct products and develop the ideal routine to keep your skin healthy and glowing. ⠀

What are people saying about our Body oils? Take What are people saying about our Body oils? Take a read. Back in 2018, I ventured into Body Oils by accident. I was experimenting with some sample size oils as a free addition to my Christmas basket that year and somehow I mistakenly brought the box to a pop up shop. So, I put them out for sale! The rest is history. Since then, I have reformulated these body oils a million time to get it right because we know there is a difference between moisturizing and 'grease down' if you know what I mean. Our oils are so light, they glide on to your skin leaving no residue behind. We also consciously opted to use essential oils as fragrance to offer added therapeutic benefits. Our body Oils can be used as massage oils, can be mixed with your regular lotion or for deeper hydration they can be applied along with your body butter at nights. If you work or live in an air conditioned environment, then this oil is a must-have! If you have not tried our oils, you should and see what the fuss is about. Order a Christmas Spa box and have your very own Aromatherapy Body Oil by your side this Christmas. ⠀

Did you know that with the exception of our Candle Did you know that with the exception of our Candles, the only fragrance you get when you open a jar or bottle of our bath and body products is from Essential Oils? Essential Oils are the undiluted compounds extracted from plants (bark, root, leaves, flowers). Essential oils can be inhaled or diluted and applied to the skin (never apply directly to skin). They may stimulate your sense of smell or have medicinal effects when absorbed. Essential Oils are known to have therapeutic benefits. Lavender is best known to relieve stress and anxiety and aids in relaxation, Peppermint and Eucalyptus relieves headaches and sinus pressure, Frankincense improves sleep quality and Cinnamon is used to reduce inflammation. Essential Oils like Peppermint and Tea Tree Oil are widely used for their antimicrobial properties. No wonder we are obsessed with Essential Oils! Most of our products contain a combination of Essential oils to give you the best results. Join the campaign to a healthier you by using products that contain only natural ingredients and therapeutic grade essential oils.
Ahhh Christmas! The truth is some of us love it w Ahhh Christmas! The truth is some of us love it while some of us just can't wait for it to be over. It can either be magical or overly stressful. You're probably guilty of looking ahead and beginning to make grandiose plans for the holiday weekend and in an effort to see everyone, do everything and get the most out of this special time of year, it’s easy to let ourselves fall by the way-side. We can feel drained, exhausted, over-touched, and by the time Christmas Day rolls around, we are no longer our best selves! Here are a few tips to make self care a priority this season. 1. Take a time out and not feel selfish for taking it - It can be overwhelming with people and family and everything else in the mix. Sometimes just stepping away from it all for a few minutes will make a difference. 2. Go with the flow - Things may not always go according to plan but don't stress it. Just go with the flow to keep your sanity. 3. Remember what really matters - It's not the presents you give and receive but the presence of your friends and family 4. Eat well - If there is a time to have the perfect excuse to have multiple cheat days in one week, it's Christmas time! And most of us are guilty of that. Don’t spend all of December in a constant state of indigestion. Take care of your body, drink lots of water and it will reward you with plenty of energy. 5. Comparison is a thief of joy - don't stress over what other people do or have for Christmas. You may just find yourself spending more than you should trying to impress everyone and miss your bills due date at the end of December. Stay focused and do you. 6. Disconnect to reconnect - can you disconnect from social media for 3 days and just enjoy the company of your friends and family? Try it. 7. Most importantly, practice gratitude - this is the perfect time to reflect on your blessings. We don't say thank you enough for life itself. Take some time out to write a gratitude list and feel it. Here's to a wonderful Christmas with your self care checklist in tow.⠀

Was there ever a time when you had to run for cove Was there ever a time when you had to run for cover while cleaning because your sinuses started acting up or your store bought cleaning products felt like they were sucking the breath out of you? Whether you are a DIY fanatic like myself or you are very selective in your choice of cleaning products due to allergies, here are a few alternatives to make your own cleaning products using essential oils that are safe and just as effective. These are super easy to make and contain no harmful chemicals. You will thank me later!
1. All purpose cleaner - 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 1/2 cups (warm) water, 15 drops tea tree oil, 15 drops lemon or any citrus essential oil. Combine everything in a bottle and give it a good shake. Citrus is excellent at cutting grime and provides a fresh scent. Tea Tree fights germs, bacteria and viruses. Use this cleaner on any surface where an all purpose cleaner is normally use.
2. Furniture Polish - 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup vinegar, 10 drops essential oil (any citrus will do). Combine everything in a glass bottle and give it a good shake. Since the vinegar and oil will separate, shake well before each use. Dust furniture as usual.
3. Stove top cleaner - 1/4 baking soda, 1/4 cup salt ⠀, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 2 tablespoons water, 5 drops lemon (or any citrus essential oil). Combine everything in a glass jar and stir. Apply to stove top, and allow it to sit for 15 minutes. Wipe grime away with a microfiber cloth.
4. Glass cleaner - Vinegar and water will give you spotless glass. 1/2 cup water, 1 1/2 cups vinegar, 10 drops citrus essential oil. Combine everything in a glass spray bottle, and give it a good shake. Spray on windows, or mirrors, to remove smudges and streaks.⠀
For Refresher sprays and Candles, DM me to place your order!😁😁. Christmas cleaning just got easier.⠀

The most common question asked is…How do I get m The most common question asked is…How do I get my Candles to last?.... The answer is the longevity of your Candle depends on you and how you take care of your Candle. Here is Candle care condensed in these 5 tips. ⠀
1. Don't burn your candle for a few minutes and out it. The first time you burn a candle, you should allow it to form a complete pool of melted wax across the surface of its container, from rim to rim. We will expand on this in another post. ⠀
2. Keep wicks trimmed at least 1/4 inch after every burn. A trimmed wick will give you a nice bright flame, even burn and less smoking. ⠀
3. Keep burning Candles away from air vents, fans or windows. Currents of air can cause candles to burn unevenly or produce excessive smoke or soot that can leave messy black stains on your container. ⠀
4. Keep the wax pool clear of any debris. Don’t mess up the candle pool with pieces of cut-off or charred wicks or used matches. Debris in the wax could clog the wick and prevent it from diffusing the scent. It can also cause your Candle to burn unevenly and smoke excessively. ⠀
5. Let your Candle cool and solidify before burning again. It takes about 1 hr for a small candle to cool down completly. Once your Candle is cooled, it's easier and safer to trim the wick and relight the wick. If you have any questions about your Candle care, leave it in the comments below or shoot us a message.

Don’t we all need this reminder?...... It's ok t Don’t we all need this reminder?...... It's ok to disconnect every now and then. Being away from Social Media was just what I needed. It was a very very long break but as Entrepreneurs, we tend to get so caught up in trying to post content every day on top of doing everything else that we drain ourselves without even realizing it.

If you concur, you should take a break from social media to help improve your mental health and wellbeing, although this can be difficult to do. So here goes...this reminder is for all of us. If you feel you need to take a break from social media and find it difficult to do so, here are some things you can try.
1. Turn off all notifications. Every time you hear your phone ping, it's a dopamine rush and you are right back where you started - on Social media!
2. Prioritize self-care - find something to do for yourself that does not involve your phone or computer.
3. Schedule your social media time - yup, give yourself a time to check your social pages and try to stick to it. Set an alarm if you need to.
5. Scrolling before bed can contribute to restless sleep. Leave your phone on the other end of the room before getting into bed. It's healthy to take a break from social media to give time for emotional well-being practices. If this resonated with you, leave your comments below.
